{03april2012: Daynakin}

Jason's in Singapore for two months for work, and I had a work trip come up (Kuala Lumpur and a stop in Singapore) so we sent Darwin to Daynakin Great Danes for boarding. Georgia's great and I always know Darwin is in great hands when she's there. Georgia is also great because she makes great little video clips of the dogs so while I was working late in KL, I got a treat of seeing Darwin play!

{15july1011: Daynakin}

Woah... blogger looks different now!
Jason and I went to Hawaii last weekend for my cousin's wedding (pictures to come) and while we were away, Darwin stayed at the boarders, Daynakin Great Danes. They are pretty far north from Seattle (about 2-3 hours away), but they meet us half way and it's a comfort to me knowing she's with a reputable breeder who will take great care of her. Georgia takes pictures of the dogs playing, but she said this time Darwin wasn't really interested in playing so she didn't get any still shots of her. She did get a quick video of Darwin and Duke running around though.

{07jan2010: 11months}

Darwin is 11 months old today!  One more month and she'll be a year!  Time sure does fly by!
Georgia from Daynakin Great Danes sent a cd with pictures of Darwin and Toro, the ridgeback, of the two of them playing.  Here area few of the pictures.

Darwin is off today for a playdate with her brother Boo Radley today!  Great way to spend their 11month old birthday!

{04dec2009: reunited and it feels so good!}

We took the red eye back to Seattle this morning, which was delayed due to the pres deciding to leave Hawaii at the same time.... oi.  After a full day of work we got ready to pick up Darwin.  After a bit of miscommunication we met up and got our Dar back!  It's funny how after not seeing her for a week and a half she now seems HUGE!  Daynakin Great Danes was a great boarder... Georgia and Jack took great care of her and she even came home with a report card and a treat bag of a giant raw bone and a cute reindeer plush!  She was very excited to see us and we were very excited to see her... so excited in fact we forgot to bring her leash.  oops.  We got her in the car and got her home where she was excited to play with new toys and gnaw on her new bone.
Now that we're reunited we can get back to our regular program and get back to posting!
Hope everyone had a great New Year celebration!

[25dec2009: Merry Christmas}

Darwin's first Christmas and it was great!  She had a blast opening her presents (and some of ours).  She would have been happy with wrapped cardboard boxes actually.  It was a lot of fun and she had a very full day.  Cuddling on the couch with dad is a perfect way for her to end her exciting day (so spoiled).  Pictures to come later... I'm feeling too lazy to download them.
Here's a video Jason uploaded of Dar opening one of her presents:

We were trying to keep things clean and throw away wrapping as we opened, but at the end we thought it'd be funny to take all the paper out and let Darwin have a chance at complete chaos.

Needless to say, she loved it.
Tomorrow she get's dropped off for boarding at Daynakin Great Danes.  They are local great dane breeders up north and though it's  a trek to drop her off, I felt more comfortable knowing she would not be in a kennel and with people knowledgeable about the breed.
We'll be on vacation so we'll see you in the new year!
Merry Christmas to you all and have a happy new year!!!
