{02april2011: daycare update}

We caught Darwin on the day care camera LAYING DOWN!  For an extended period of time (at least 5 minutes)!  Woo hoo!

I know some of you may be thinking "big whoop",  but for us this was momentous!  Darwin never seems to relax when she's at day care.  She usually stands around waiting til we come and pick her up.  (I question if she even goes potty during the day at day care because she doesn't really pee right where she plays.)  So for her to lay down and actually relax with the other dogs moving around her for a short period of time is great!  Maybe one day she'll live out my dream for her to lay down and cuddle with the English Bulldog that goes to day care too!  hahahah

  1. Hooray for Darwin! Give those great long legs a rest, maybe even snooze a little. Do you bring a special blanket for her to lay on there? One that she likes at home? This might help, too.

    Stella, who sleeps best on her blanket

  3. How cool is that....doggie day care camera in case you need to get your Darwin fix during the day you can just tune in. Lots of black doggies in that daycare group. I'm glad Darwin is starting to be able to relax.

  5. Wow, I wish there was a day care in Verona too.. With a camera to check her... It would be my dream!!!
    I could take Lucille there instead of her waiting for us alone at home!
    May be Lucille would prefer her sofa, but still I believe it is nice for the doggies to have a place to stay that is safe (guarded) where they can play and interact with one another!
    Darwin you are a good girl! You are finally enjoying the place! I can understand you, Lucille would be the same... she needs to pay attention to everybody, everything when she is not in at her home, she never really relaxes... :)
    Well done Darwin, you are making Brooke happier!
    Ciao Nicoletta & Lucille

  9. Oh, that's GREAT news - I'm so happy for you! Having been there from the beginning with your worries about Darwin in daycare, I can totally understand and appreciate the "importantness" of this moment! I think it's a great sign and it looks like she might be relaxing and starting to enjoy it - sometimes it just takes some dogs longer than others! :-)
