Earlier in March we were able to get out snowshoeing again. We headed out East near Hyak, a little further East then where we went last time. Here are some pictures and videos of the day.
funny lip!
As I was resting, Jason went for a climb up a steep part of the mountain.... Darwin thought she'd follow.
About halfway up she realized it was way too steep and turned back around.
As we got higher the trail we were following split in two so I took one path and Jason took the other. Darwin stuck by me, and after a while wanted to get to Jason. Instead of going to the end of the path where they connected and running back down, she decided to blaze her own trail. (Click on this long image to get a slide show her her work.)
BEAUTIFUL pictures, my friend!

Looks like a wonderful day! Darwin looks especially beautiful in some of those pics!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Though, I could do without snow for awhile. I love the snaggletooth shot.
ReplyDeletePS. We have the same collar and leash. We loved it on Darwin, so we ended up getting it for Miss M.
Nice trailblazing Darwin...that was my favorite! :)

Darwin, that is so cool that you went snowshoeing. My parents went this year in Colorado and they said it was fun. I have never even seen snow, but it looks like something I would like to run in, eat, and roll around in for sure. It does look cold and I would probably need a coat. I am use to this heat all the time. Looks like you had a great day. Enjoy your weekend and get some rest!

Wowzers, what gorgeous pix! I especially like those ones of you, Darwin. You look incredible in snow. And I like that 2" collar! I wore mine out walking this morning and thought of you!

Hei Darwin, you forgot the beautiful boots!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I always do the same when I am out trekking with my humans... if one goes one side and the other in a different side, I run from one to the other like an idiot...
Afterwards I discovered that it was a dirty trick... they are playing hide and seek!!! Grrrr.... And I am spending all that energy to check that they are fine and do not get lost!!!
How unfair... But I like it!!!
It looks like you had a lot of fun too!!!
But it must have been tiring walking in so much snow... weren't you VERY tired when you got home? I think I would have slept till the evening after...!!!
Ciao Lucille
I have the same funny lip issue :-) My humans say it's cute though ...ah well !
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have gone with you on this great adventure, I love snow !
Lincoln
Darwin you are tough - no boots - no coat!
ReplyDeletewoof - Tucker
Those are some beautiful photo's! You look so fit Darwin, you must need to be to wade through all that snow to get to Jason :)
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so lucky to be able to go to such a beautiful place and be let off lead! A lot of our pretty places with snow (especially where we are) we have to stay on the lead or aren't even allowed :(
Licks and lots of slobber,
