Since we're so far behind I haven't shared our Christmas!
I'm kind of bummed I didn't get a family picture in front of the tree, oh well... here's one of Darwin though in her new Christmas collar from her brother, Boo.
Darwin had a blast opening all her presents (and she got A LOT).
Some of her presents.
After breakfast and cleaning up the mess we decided to head out and do some snowshoeing!
We went back to Gold Creek since it's fairly close and we were starting out later in the day.
(Sorry iphone pictures from here out)
It was snowing when we got there so it made for very pretty, but wet conditions.
And that was our Christmas!
I'm very sorry about your Grandma, our thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteDarwin you got some great toys for Christmas!

Sorry to hear about your grandma and work stuff - that is no fun. Hopefully 2012 is better to you!
ReplyDeletehi Darwin and Brooke, yay - you're back. We were a bit worried about you but all's well, so that's good. OMD, I can't believe Darwin got her mouth around that ball. I guess I have a smaller sized mouth. I really like her coat too. Maybe we could share out toys one day. We're really sorry to learn about your grandma.
ReplyDeleteHi Brooke we are very sorry to hear about your Grandma and send you gentle hugs. Thanks for showing your Christmas photos. Looks like Darwin had a wonderful day. Take care all. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory (and Carol)

So sorry to hear about your grandmother! Hope the trip back to Hawaii wasn't too stressful.
ReplyDeleteWow - I think Darwin got more presents than any other dog in history!! :-)

ps. your quote for your crate seems really good compared to ours! I don't know if Darwin is much smaller than Honey but we had to get ours custom-made coz Honey was too tall to fit into even the largest standard crates. Grrr...so annoying. It costs us NZ$1,000 - which is a lot more than your quote, even allowing for currency differences, etc. Perhaps you've got a bigger market in the US. Sorry - I know I haven't responded to your last email yet either: I think researching pet movers is separate to the vet stuff so you should just go ahead. And it's a great idea finding out about any extra shots which can reduce Darwin's time in quarantine...I don't know if you have it there but over here, we have something called Pet Passport and if the dog can prove it has had rabies vaccines (& other shots), this reduces/waives time in quarantine. There is also strict protocol about when to do worming/flea treatments, etc just before flight - but your pet mover should be able to advise the best, esp for the country you're moving to. Good luck!
Sad to hear of your Grandma's passing. Hugs to all of you from The Roo Family.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Darwin had a fantastic Christmas! Los of fun opening pressies and a snow shoe walkie to boot! :)
Hope things get better for you all real soon!
Waggin at ya,
