{25oct2010: winner winner chicken dinner!}

Our friends Augie and Ti at AugieDoggy had a Halloween contest last week.  I submitted a picture a picture of Darwin to compete against the many Goldens entered.
The other weekend Jason and I took a quick trip back to Hawaii for my good friend's wedding.  While we were there I found this hula girl costume that could actually fit my big girl, so I HAD to get it.  Doesn't she look thrilled?
Anyway, back to the contest.  So we checked back on their blog last night and Darwin's name was picked as the winner!  I think Augie may have a crush on Darwin.
Thanks to Augie and Ti for hosting such a fun contest!

  1. haha yes.. her ears tell that she is thrilled!! haha.. I love those dane ears. Nova does it all the time too!! she looks awesome!

  2. Oh her face is priceless! That's a great outfit. I've also got poor Bogart in a hula skirt. It's so much fun to dress up our dogs. :)

  3. A big congrats to Darwin! So glad you entered her picture! Your box of goodies is all ready to go and will be mailed tomorrow! Hope she enjoys!

  4. Well, Augie almost ATE Darwin's name in the contest :)

    Congratulations. Have fun with your loot! :)

  5. Thrilled might not be the furst word to khome to mind but it might eventually end up there!

  7. Oh and I had to mention I didn't think anyone else ever said "winner, winner chicken dinner"...We go to a casino in Iowa once in a while and when they have a big winner they say that over the loud speaker and the winner gets whatever money they won plus a chicken dinner...it's too funny.

  8. That costume is hilarious! I never realized how hard it must be to find Great Dane costumes. I think our pooches are on the top end of costume sizes, and they're so much smaller than Darwin.

  9. OH MY GOD - DARWIN!!!!! Hsin-Yi nearly spit out her mouthful of tea when she saw this picture. HA! HA! HA! You look hilarious! Although really cute - and that hula skirt is just divine. Hsin-Yi actually dressed me up in one of HER bikinis once - and yes, being such big girls, we actually fit human clothes!
