{18mar2010: Sorry Nala!}

Bed rest must be getting to Darwin.  While she's been pretty good about not being a total nut and actually has been pretty mellow since last week, she must have some pent up energy that she needs to get out somehow.
Too bad she's decided to take it out on her new toy she just got from Nala.
This was the toy Tuesday night:
Cute pink intact piggy.
Darwin loved it!  She's been playing with it non-stop.
This morning I woke up to a mess in the living room.... no not a poop mess, but a pink pig mess!
Darwin's hate of eyeballs in new toys struck again!  This time with a vengence.
Poor piggy:
{must remove the eyeballs!}
{is there something on my face?}
{mom, but look how cute i look and it makes my back feel better... really...}
Sorry Nala!  She thoroughly enjoyed the gift!

  1. Thats a good job Darwin! Next, rip off that little piggy's arms! Whatever helps your big handsome self feel better, even if it's just an ounce.

  4. BOL! Whatever works for ya Darwin! If chewing it up helps your back then I am glad the piggy was of service if only for a little while. ;)

  7. HI Darwin - so sorry it's taken me so long to come and visit you! And I'm so sorry I missed your sickie - I feel very bad that I hadn't sent you any get-well slobbers like everyone else!! It must be so hard on you - and your humans - to have to do bed rest when you're still so young and full of puppy energy!

    I do hope it's something that will just get better with rest - and definitely not the dreaded Wobblers!! (I thought Wobblers usually only started showign signs in older dogs? You're still so young!)

    Do you think you got your injury when you were playing? When I was about 8 months old, I also went to stay with my breeders (and my mummy & daddy & cousins, etc) for a while and when I came back, I also had a lot of scratchs and scabs on me from rough play! But I didn't have any serious injuries - guess I was lucky!

    Anyway, am keeping my paws crossed for you and can't wait to hear what the neurologist says!

    Honey the Great Dane

  9. Nala should be proud she is such a good gift giver. If Darwin hadn't demolished her stuffy, it wouldn't have been as successful. Good job on both your parts!
