{15nov2009: Darwin the destroyer}

I put Darwin to a test this weekend.  I was going out Saturday night and decided to see if Darwin would behave if I left her out in the living room rather than lock her in the kitchen.  I left a light on for her and headed out hoping and praying that she'd be good.  When I got home, she was on her bed (not the couch surprisingly) and everything seemed in order.  Woo hoo!  Aunty Aileen won a stuffed puppy from a crane machine while we were out and so Darwin got it for passing her test.
I gave it to her Saturday night.  Sunday morning he was eyeball-less.

She still loved him though, and carried him around in her mouth.

Sunday afternoon, I noticed he was tail-less and couldn't remember if he had a tail before Darwin got a hold of him or not.  A little while later I got my answer....

That's his tail down there... and his stuffing.  At some point last night, she made a hole in its back and decided to unstuff him.

  1. We love to destuff our animals. That is the best part of having one! There is still plenty of stuffing left in that guy though!

  2. We love to play with stuffies too. We each have our own but usually end up destuffing one of them by playing tug of war. It's a fun game and one we love. You did a good job all by yourself. Good job on staying home by yourself and not damaging anything. the rest you got probably helped you with the destuffing.

  4. Of course the eyes are the first to go! Who'd want their enemy LOOKING at them as they de-gutted them?? Darwin's smart like that!

  5. Ha ha! You are still a teenager and not to be trusted. When I was a teenager I would go days and days being good and then momma would find a chair with less stuffing or something nibbled on just a wee bit. Hey, you can't help yourself. You'll outgrow it.

  6. My favorite part of stuffies is the tag! I go right for and pull it off, then I'm satisfied. I don't really destroy my stuffies like you did, wow I'd hate to see you in a dark alley!!!
